About the Role

We are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic, and talented communications manager to lead our cross functional communications efforts. In this position, your work will engage existing members, attract new members, and build COSSBA’s brand recognition.

Your day-to-day work will lead to increased opportunities to share COSSBA’s mission, value, and services to the right target audience. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with brilliant presentation and organizational skills.


Create informative and interesting press releases, press kits and related marketing materials.

  • Identify and resolve any issues with promotional content in a timely and professional manner.

  • Write content for both print and organization’s website.

  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build customer loyalty programs, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction.

  • Work across the COSSBA team to generate new ideas and strategies.

  • Review and edit organizational project content and language to guarantee team member content is publication-ready and aligns to COSSBA’s brand standards.

  • Create communication and marketing strategies for new product and service launches, events, and promotions.

  • Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner aligned with COSSBA’s professional standards.

  • Monitor the company’s social media and online presence.

Founded in 2022, The Consortium of State School Boards Associations (COSSBA) is a non-partisan, national alliance dedicated to sharing resources and information to support, promote, and strengthen state school boards associations.
